the heart behind all we do Is that you would be

rooted like an oak, ever-growing like a vine.

Life is challenging - we’re here to help

There are fewer things braver than acknowledging when we need help, and the decision to pursue counseling is possibly one of the bravest you can make. Counseling isn’t a magic bullet; it’s not a quick solution. It’s more often than not hard, painstaking, consistent work. It’s believing that the way out is most often through. It’s admitting that what you’re doing isn’t working anymore and that you want or need something to change. You may need help coming up with a better plan, help executing your plan, or help just remembering why you can and should choose to get up each morning. Counseling is work, no doubt. But it’s also worth it. And the best part is you aren’t going at it alone.

As therapists, we count it a privilege to be a part of your story, to come alongside you in the midst of pain, hurt, confusion, loss, or tension, and to help you make sense of it all. Our entire practice is built on these five foundational values, the first being right in the name:

Oak & Vine

Oaks are sturdy, strong, and rooted; vines are ever- growing, life bearing, and outward springing. We aim to create a space that encourages both: rootedness in the strength of who you already are and outward facing growth.

Story Well

We believe in the power of stories. Stories matter - including yours. And your story isn’t finished yet. We want to help you live your story well.

Safety & Space

Every time we meet, we want you to know and experience that this is your space, a space where you are free and safe to bring any and all of yourself in whatever shape or form that may take.

Acre & Inch

Growth is sometimes measured by acres, but more often than not growth happens in inches. We will acknowledge and celebrate all kinds of growth, big and small.

Summit & Valley

Life happens in seasons. Like in nature, there are seasons of growth and life and seasons of waiting and loss. We believe that in every season, there is joy to be found, growth to be had, and goodness to be honored.

Trauma is not what happens to us, but what we hold inside in the absence of an empathetic witness.
